Tools

Where a tool is installed, where it is used online, and who is signed in to it.

Every tool in the catalogue has its own page. Open it from the Overview, a client, a device, or search.

The page shows the tool's risk, vendor, category and catalogue notes. A tool that comes with the operating system says so, because finding it does not mean anyone chose it.

Figures

  • Devices and Clients: current use only. Removed and dismissed installs do not count, nor does network use older than 30 days.
  • Your baseline policy: select it to open Policy.

If the tool has no baseline policy, admins see a suggested policy below the figures.

Signed-in accounts

Shown when account plans are switched on and accounts were reported. Personal, free and individual accounts are listed first.

Approve an account

Admins can approve a paid personal plan or a free plan on a work email domain.

Find the account in Signed-in accounts.

Select Approve.

An approval covers every account with this tool, plan and email domain, at every client and on every device. Those accounts show as approved and stop being flagged.

To withdraw it, select Remove approval.

You cannot approve accounts on a personal email domain such as gmail.com. Business and enterprise plans need no approval.

Approving an account does not change the tool's policy.

Found on disk

Each install: the client, the device, how it was found, the user and the last activity. Removed and dismissed installs are greyed and listed last.

Seen on the network

Each device and app that connected to the tool, including use in a browser. Expand the hosts to see each address and its connection count.

Rows last seen more than 30 days ago, or dismissed on that device, are greyed.
