Audits
Ask devices to scan and report now, instead of waiting for the daily report.
Devices report once a day. An audit asks them to scan and report straight away, for example after you have spoken to a user.
Admins and staff can request and cancel audits.
Audit one device
Open the device and select Audit now. A progress panel shows each step: Requested, Picked up by the device, Report received.
When it finishes, the page shows the new report.
Audit every device at a client
Open the client and select Audit all. You can also search for Audit all devices at and the client name.
The console says how many devices it asked, for example "Audit requested for 4 of 5 devices". Devices that already have an audit waiting or running are skipped.
Cancel an audit
While an audit is waiting or running, the button reads Auditing…. Select Cancel beside it.
Cancel also stops an uninstall that is still waiting on the same devices. Request the uninstall again if you still want it.
Time limits
A device has 5 minutes to pick up an audit, and 5 more to finish it.
An audit that a sleeping or offline device does not pick up within 5 minutes expires. Request it again when the device is online.
