Rename the organisation

Open Settings.

Change the Organisation name and select Save.

Names can be up to 200 characters.

Agent updates

Lodestar on each Mac and Windows PC updates itself to the newest version, after checking that Panoptic signed it. Each device updates after its next daily report. Agent updates are on by default.

Switch them off if you deploy updates yourself, for example with Intune. Intune may report an install as failed once Lodestar has updated itself to a newer version.

Open Settings.

Under Agent updates, select Switch off or Switch on.

The card shows On or Off. With updates off, devices stay on the version they have. The setting applies to every client; there is no setting for one client. The activity log records each change.

See Agent updates for what happens on each device, and If an update fails. If you deploy with an MDM, see Keep Lodestar up to date.

SSO

SSO is a paid add-on. Add it on Billing first. Until then, the SSO page says SSO isn't active.

Select Manage SSO to open the SSO page. There you:

  • Add your email domains and verify each one with a DNS TXT record.
  • Choose the level people join at: Read-only, the default, or Staff.
  • Enforce SSO, so Send sign-in code sends people on your domains to Microsoft sign-in instead.

Only your own admins see this card. See SSO for the steps.

Settings for one client

Settings for one client, such as history, are on that client's Settings tab. See Clients.
