One-line install
Install and enrol one device with a single command.
The one-line install downloads the current Lodestar from https://downloads.lodestarapp.ai, checks its checksum and signature, installs it and enrols the device. It is safe to run again: on an enrolled device it upgrades Lodestar and keeps the enrolment.
Get the command
When you add a client, choose One-line install under How will you deploy?. The console creates a token and shows the command with it filled in.
For a client you already have:
Open the client and create an enrolment token. See Enrol devices.
In the token dialog, choose Macs or Windows PCs, then One-line install.
Select Copy command. The token is already filled in.
Run the command on the device, as below.
The Install Lodestar card on the client's Enrolment tab shows the same commands with <token> in place of the token.
Mac
In Terminal, as an admin:
curl -fsSL https://console.lodestarapp.ai/install.sh | sudo sh -s -- --token <token>The script installs only a package signed by Panoptic and notarised by Apple.
Windows
In PowerShell, as administrator:
& ([scriptblock]::Create((irm https://console.lodestarapp.ai/install.ps1))) -Token <token>The script installs only an installer with a valid signature.
Neither script contains a token. The token is only passed on the command line.
