Findings and tools

What the agent reports, and how the console turns it into tools.

Findings

A finding is one thing the agent reported on a device: an app, a browser extension, an editor plugin, a command-line tool, a settings folder, local models, an MCP server, or a signed-in account.

Each report replaces the device's findings. When a later report no longer includes one, it shows as removed. If it comes back, it shows again.

Tools

A tool is an entry in the Lodestar catalogue, with a vendor, a category and a risk level. A finding that matches the catalogue counts towards that tool.

A finding whose name looks like AI but is not in the catalogue goes to Needs review.

Categories: Chat assistant, Coding assistant, Autonomous agent, AI browser, Writing assistant, Meeting notes, Dictation, Productivity, Local models, AI API, Media generation.

Found as

A device page shows how each tool was found there, for example App and Network. Select Details to see each location, by user, with its version.
